I recently had an accident with an uninsured driver. My claim is an “uninsured motorist property damage” claim. I do not have “rental insurance”. Is the rental cost covered by UIM since if the other driver had liability coverage their insurance would have covered my rental?
Rental insurance coverage is for collision and comprehenisive. I know that in most states UIM will basically act like the other driver’s liability insurance and cover rental cost, but I am not sure about Texas.
