Opening up Medicare to the uninsured rather than a new public option is probably acceptable to most Democrats. Probably enough to get all 60 on board. Also some Republicans might approve of this as well, that is if they are actually participating? I think it is a pretty good idea to let the uninsured buy into Medicare as it is an already existing program and top economists are saying that this infusion of new people would help the program get out of the red. Do you think this is an acceptable idea for both parties?
