Uninsured RX

If they have to pay for health insurance, then they won’t be buying even a used car. If your argument is that they are all low income, then that means a 500 billion increase in governemnt expenditures.

Where is the net gain? Rants say that they now have to pay for the uninsured. Under Obama care, you still will and since you call them irresponsible, they are certainly now ready to abuse what you gave them for free.
If you are already paying for it, then how is it a net gain?

An uninsured driver hits a car that ends up in my front yard. Police gets there, and issue the driver
a citation and let this driver call a friend with insurance to come over to drive the uninsured car off.
Am I missing something? or is this the way it works in Minnesota?

I have been driving uninsured for some time now. I believe it is illegal to drive without car insurance in California. What will a cop do if I get pulled over and asked to proof of insurance?

What happens? Will that person be denied coverage? How does one go about getting insurance for a vehicle someone’s been driving uninsured?

EXACTLY. I told DH’s friend that liability is not that expensive, and while he’s running around w/o insurance – he could potentially cause responsible drivers problems.

If you hit an uninsured motorist and have liability insurance does your insurance company have to pay the uninsured motorist? Also, If you don’t have insurance and get in a non-fault car accident, do you have to pay the other vehicle because you don’t have insurance?

An uninsured motorist was hit by an insured motorist who ran a red light causing substantial damage to the uninsured car. Police were not called, should have been, but both cars were drivable. There is a witness that concurs the insured motorist ran the light. What are the uninsured motorists rights, if any?
