my boyfriend was involved in a car accident two days ago. he was a passenger with his friend who was driving, who has no insurance on the car being driven. someone rear-ended them very hard, totaling both cars. the person who rear-ended them DOES have insurance. since the accident, my boyfriend has been having very bad back pain, where he can hardly walk and barely made it out of bed this morning. is the insured person who hit them responsible for any medical bills? or is he not, since he happened to hit an uninsured driver and injured the passenger?

After being injured by an uninsured driver, the uninsured policy on my own insurance stepped in and paid for the medical treatment. Now they have made an offer for settlement that includes pain and suffering as well as loss of work, etc. It is a resonable offer, yet I believe a larger setttlement could be justified. My question is: Would it be prudent to negotiate in this fashion with ones’ own insurance? Could there be reprocussions involing higher premiums? I look forward to all insightful responses.
My wife was in a car accident, the driver was an uninsured motorist. He was an adult, and he was driving his father’s car. So can you pursue the father through his insurance? It was his car, the car is insured, and the car was not reported as stolen or anything like that.
We do have uninsured motorist coverage ourselves, but putting it on our insarance would likely raise our rates. Any advice?
An uninsured driver hits a car that ends up in my front yard. Police gets there, and issue the driver
a citation and let this driver call a friend with insurance to come over to drive the uninsured car off.
